Its BHmax value is 5-12 times that of ferrite magnet and 3-10 times that of Al Ni Co magnet; Its coercivity is 5-10 times that of ferrite magnet and 5-15 times that of aluminum nickel cobalt magnet. Its potential magnetic properties are very high and can absorb 640 times its own weight.

Because the main raw material iron of NdFeB magnet is very cheap, and the storage capacity of rare earth neodymium is 10-16 times more than that of samarium, its price is also much lower than that of samarium cobalt magnet.

NdFeB magnets have better mechanical properties than SmCo magnets and AlNiCo magnets, and are easier to cut, drill and process complex shapes.

The disadvantage of NdFeB magnet is its poor temperature performance, large magnetic loss at high temperature and low maximum working temperature. It is generally about 80 degrees Celsius. The maximum working temperature of specially treated magnets can reach 200 degrees Celsius.

Because the material contains a lot of neodymium and iron, easy corrosion is also its weakness. Therefore, NdFeB magnet must be coated. It can be electroplated with nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), gold (AU), chromium (CR), epoxy resin (epoxy), etc.

NdFeB magnets are widely used in aerospace, electronics, electromechanical, instrumentation, medical and other fields. Moreover, it is more and more widely used in non-technical fields, such as adsorption magnets, toys, jewelry and so on.
